Egmond aan Zee has been part of the municipality of Bergen (North Holland) since 2001, but has retained its own identity. Egmond is located directly on the North Sea beach where you can do many other activities in addition to sunbathing, such as: Outdoor Escape room, surf surfing, power kiting and horse riding and of course walking. The monumental Lighthouse J.C.J van Speijk is prominent and can be seen almost anywhere in Egmond. The many Hotels, Cafés and Restaurants already indicate how pleasant it is here during the summer months.
On the Pompplein you will find the 1000-year-old water pump that has been restored since 2011 and here you can enjoy various performances, fairgrounds or festivities organized by the Ondernemersvereniging de Eendracht from the many terraces in the summer. There is the annual Fishery Day, the walk to the Pomp festival which is performed every Sunday on the square and 2x a fair.
Egmond is ideally suited for families but also for older tourists. Wheelchair-friendly and plenty of parking options make Egmond the holiday destination par excellence. The bus transport from Alkmaar (Bus 165) will take you to the Front street (center) of Egmond aan Zee.

Webcam Egmond aan Zee Beach
Egmond aan Zee is the best known of the three Egmonds.
More than 1000 years ago, the village originated as a fishing village, but it has had a tourist interest since the beginning of the last century. Both the fishing and touristic past are still clearly visible in the street scene. Prominent on the boulevard is the Jan van Speyk lighthouse which can be seen from all over the village.
The village offers a lot of entertainment to the holidaymaker. terraces, restaurants, and a shopping area with something for everyone. There is one every week in summer event with lots of village entertainment that will delight you on it Pompplein from a terrace.
The shops are open 7 days a week all year round and are easily accessible to everyone.

The beach of Bergen aan Zee has a lot to offer in all seasons and the view is not the same every day: sun-drenched summer days, fierce foam-crested waves in the autumn and crystal-clear winter afternoons that call for a cup of chocolate milk along the boulevard. Moreover, Bergen aan Zee is surrounded by tens of square kilometers of natural wealth: the dune area, the forests and the adjacent polders: plenty of opportunities to to walk and too bicycles.

The camera is placed at Lido apartments above Restaurant van Speijk. If you look south you will see Restaurant Comer and the Maritime Corner. This is the residence of KNRM, the Egmond Rescue Brigade and De Pinck.
